What is the Real Impact?
While many nasal allergy sufferers experience symptoms such as itchy, runny nose, sneezing and nasal congestion,
the real impact can also be seen on their sleep, productivity at work and even their relationships.
A 2013 online survey of 2,000 U.S. adults over 18 years of age who have been diagnosed with nasal allergies revealed the following:1
Relationships/Productivity:
65% of participants said that they were tired and irritable with their
partner/spouse
due to their nasal allergies
61% said that they can’t enjoy the outdoors with their children as much
as they
would like because of their nasal allergy symptoms
More than half of respondents (57%) said they experienced difficulty
concentrating at
work and school due to their nasal allergy symptoms
Medical Triggers:
Of those respondents who consulted a doctor/nurse about their nasal allergy symptoms,
80% initiated the conversation
Nearly half (44%) of participants said their doctor/nurse did not help them
identify
their nasal allergy triggers
